Madiun Pecel Peanut Sauce Ingredients
- 250 grams of peanuts
- 50 grams of curly red chili
- 2 red cayenne peppers (if you don't like the spicy taste, ignore this ingredient)
- 25 grams of garlic
- 25 grams of kencur (get it in the Asian stores, it is Indonesian Spices)
- 125 grams of brown sugar, sliced
- 25 grams of tamarind (give 2 tablespoons of warm water, then strain)
- 7 lime leaves (remove bones)
- 1 teaspoon salt
How to make Pecel Madiun peanut sauce
- Fry peanuts until cooked (do not burn, so they are not bitter)
- Cool for a moment, then puree with a blender
- Fry the garlic, chilies, and kencur until wilted, then blend with lime leaves, salt, and tamarind water until well blended
- then pour the blended spices into the ground peanuts that have been mashed. Stir well until the spices are lumpy

- Take enough pecel sauce that has been made previously into a small container
- Then add a little water, stir until thickened (not too runny)
